I had almost forgotten....
I just finnished flailling the flesh off the bone...and it is awsome! An entire shoulder of Elk... I thank the Lord of the Hunt for this most treausered piece of meat. It is so tender and bloody.. I ate a hunk of it raw. Ummm.. I had almost forgotten the joys of raw wild game. My friend was ever so nice to bring me the shoulder... though it was fun carrying it home on the morning buss. Gotta love that Metro! People were just staring at me and my meat...could it have been that I was salivating and makeing shlurping noises all the way home? Naah.
So, now the Bones are in a slow-cooker with spices and veggies...By the time I wake up, what meat was left on the bones will just fall off...tender and juicey...UMMMMMM MEAT !!!! The rest I sliced into steaks and some I even sliced thinly so I may stir fry it... I'm set for game for a bit...now if I can only get some rabbit, deer, bear, boar, and frog...ummmm... I miss the joys of the hunt...
I have been looking for tounge and heart....has anybody seen in the Buffalo area, any venue which sells these things? Please let me know...Pretty Please? Current Mood: ecstatic

This morning when i woke up i was hungary, So i started a fire in our pit in the backyard and had a steak at like 6 am with a creme soda a microwaved baked potato with sour cream and butter and a cagarette and needless to say it was awesome.
I was just looking a picture someone left in journal of cow getting its throat slit with the blood just pouring on the floor I thought to myself that, that blood would make a good marinade. I wish i could get some fresh steak like one of our niebhor's offers like a quarter of one of their cows. Oh man im getting all hawt and bothered just thinking about that delicous looking cow i see every morning I wake up she looks so good.

now lemme tell ya. i am a HUGE fan of cheddar wurst. the only way i've been able to make it up until recently was in my oven. screw boiling it. you need the brown and the juices exploding w/ a mere touch of the fork. well, i've gotten my meaty glory. i've been up at sherkston and this past friday (7/8/05) i got to make them on the grill. hallelujah. too bad i ran out. so i went for the burgers w/ swiss melted on it instead of american. also full of glory.
by the way, folks. aldi's has cheap quality meat. the bag of burgers is cheap and totally worth it. they've got 3lb bags of chicken for $6. cant beat that. and cheddar wurst for $2 a pack. cornish hens for the same price. corn dogs for a little over a dollar. so much glory for so cheap. and yes this stuff is completely edible.

Hi everyone. My name is Rich. And I have a confession to make.....
I'm addicted to meat.
I went to Wegmans today to get some lunch during my break from work. I was not satisfied with their selection...so after work, I went to a real butcher shop. Federal Meats on Military Road. I had just bought a small gas grill and thought that I should start off grilling with a steak. Well, I walked in, and bought a lot more that just a steak...two porterhouses, four pork chops, and two sirloins. And that's on top of the dozen chicken breasts I have in the freezer.
I grilled up a sirloin with some Montreal Steak Seasoning that I bought at Sam's club. It turned out great. I didn't eat anything else with it....no veggies, no potatoes, no bullshit - just the meat.
And boy was it good.
Tomorrow will be lemon-pepper chicken breast. I gotta start posting pics.
